Description

Kelly Services is looking for a Custodian in their Spruce Pines, NC location to perform maintenance for a manufacturing plants or corporate offices. 
While specific job descriptions may vary by location and facility type, typical duties and responsibilities for a custodian position at BRP US Inc. or similar organizations include:

  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Performing routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors. This includes sanitizing restrooms, breakrooms, and high-touch surfaces.
  • Waste Management: Emptying and relining trash and recycling bins regularly.
  • Maintenance: Performing minor maintenance and repair work on the building and equipment (e.g., replacing light bulbs, fixing minor plumbing issues) and reporting larger issues to management.
  • Supply Management: Monitoring and managing cleaning supplies inventory and requesting replenishments as needed.
  • Safety and Security: Adhering to all health and safety guidelines and protocols, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE). This may also involve conducting routine security checks to ensure areas are locked when not in use.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operating and maintaining cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, commercial vacuums, and power washers.
  • Additional Duties: Assisting with event setups/breakdowns, minor groundskeeping, or snow removal, depending on the facility's needs.
