Journeyman Electrician
Location: Rapid City, SD
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00PM Mon-Thrs
Pay: $25 to $35 per hour based on experience
We are seeking a qualified and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team in Rapid City, SD. This individual will lead and perform electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting across commercial, industrial, and residential projects. Candidates must possess a current Journeyman's Electrical License, valid driver's license, and the ability to manage crews effectively on-site.
Key Responsibilities-
Install feeders, switchgear, and devices with correct wire/conduit sizing and terminations.

Perform underground layout and rough-ins.

Troubleshoot motors and control systems.

Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and site directions.

Operate tools and heavy equipment (e.g., lifts, trenchers, backhoes) safely.

Lead crews while maintaining project timelines and safety standards.

Maintain clean, efficient, and organized work sites.

Current Journeyman Electrician License (Required)

Valid driver's license (Required)

Minimum 3 years of electrical field experience

Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, work at heights, and in all weather conditions

Must provide personal tools and tool belt (~30 lbs)

Proficient with hand/power tools, conduit bending, and electrical testing equipment

Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Must be organized, punctual, self-motivated, and a team player

Repetitive physical activity (bending, climbing, kneeling, lifting)

Indoor and outdoor environments; may include extreme weather conditions
-
Use of ladders, lifts, and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- 40+ hour work weeks with potential overtime and night shifts
