Director of Production (or Production Manager)
Location: Lodi, WI
Shift:1st shift/ Mon-Fri 7:00am-5:00pm
Salary: $120,000-140,000/year w/ Quarterly Bonus

Position Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on production leader to oversee manufacturing, production planning, purchasing, and materials management. This role can be at the Director or Manager level depending on experience. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a proven ability to keep teams focused and grounded, and the drive to identify challenges and implement effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of manufacturing, materials management, purchasing, and production planning.
  • Ensure that products are manufactured in compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, cGMP, and OSHA standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and train supervisors, operators, and staff on procedures, policies, and safety standards.
  • Establish and track performance objectives for production and materials teams, driving accountability and results.
  • Represent production in new product launches, audits, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Process Development to improve methods, equipment, and product quality.
  • Draft, review, and maintain SOPs and Master Instructions for production-related activities.
  • Partner with HR on staffing decisions, hiring, and workforce planning.
  • Participate in FDA and ISO audits and ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a solution-oriented approach by identifying issues, recommending improvements, and implementing corrective actions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field a plus.
  • 10+ years of supervisory/management experience in pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing.
  • Direct experience with FDA and ISO auditing (required).
  • Strong leadership background with proven ability to motivate, ground, and guide teams.
  • Skilled at identifying operational issues and implementing practical, effective solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, ISO 13485 standards, and cGMP.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Work Environment:
  • Combination of office and manufacturing floor environment.
  • Exposure to odors, fumes, dust, mechanical parts, and vibration.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
  • Regular standing, walking, and use of hands required.
