Distribution Center Associate
Job Summary:
Join a LaPorte Company, a leader in the oil, gas, and chemical distribution sectors, at our bustling Distribution Center. This assignment offers you the flexibility to choose from three different shifts (5am-2pm, 10am-7pm, or 3pm-midnight) and the opportunity to become part of a team that values efficiency and accuracy in managing inventory flow.
Job Specifications:
• Job Type: Temporary , temp to hire based on Performance
• Shifts: 5am-2pm, 10am-7pm, or 3pm-midnight
Pay Rate $17/hr
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Unload and verify materials from vendor trucks, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Organize items into designated bins, racks, or pipe bundles.
• Accurately label materials with appropriate identifiers.
• Facilitate smooth transfers between modification shops.
• Assemble and package orders according to customer specifications.
• Load and prepare orders for shipment
• Generate shipping documentation for various carriers.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines as per OSHA standards.
• Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
• Perform additional duties as needed, adhering to safety and health protocols.
Qualifications & Skills:
• At least 2 years of warehouse experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficient in operating RF scanners, forklifts, and pallet jacks a plus
• Basic computer skills for data entry.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Must wear personal protective equipment, including steel toe boots.
