Document Control Specialist
Location: East Syracuse, NY 13057
Pay: $23.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st shift

We are assisting our client in seeking a Document Control Specialist to support Quality and Food Safety operations at their East Syracuse facility. This role is heavily focused on document control, data analytics, and regulatory compliance within a food manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities
- Issue, maintain, audit, and archive food safety and quality documentation
- Support compliance with cGMP, SQF, FDA, and NYS Agriculture & Markets requirements
- Review and analyze data related to Quality Systems KPIs
- Maintain records for raw materials, batching, processing, packaging, and finished goods
- Support SQF documentation and assist during audits
- Serve as backup for hold/release, product traceability, and recall processes
- Retrieve documentation and data for internal and external audit requests
- Assist with deviation investigations and root cause analysis
- Communicate effectively across departments and shifts
- Follow all GMP, sanitation, and safety requirements
- Above-average Excel skills
- Experience with data review and document control
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work with technical and regulatory documentation
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Food or Beverage manufacturing experience
- Dairy manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Experience using ERP systems
- PCQI and/or Better Process Control School training
- Combination of office, production, and warehouse environments
- Ability to wear required PPE
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (with reasonable accommodations)
- Potential exposure to food ingredients, allergens, and sanitation chemicals
