Job Title: Document Control Assistant – Document Scanning Technician
Location: Bellevue, WA
Employment Type: Full-Time/Direct Hire
Pay Range: $21-$22/hr, depending on shift

Shifts: 
7:00 am-3:30 pm
MOST NEEDED
3:00 pm-11:30 pm
11:00 pm-7:30 am

 

Position Summary

We are seeking a Document Scanning Technician / Document Control Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced production environment, preparing, scanning, and processing documents while maintaining exceptional quality standards. This role supports both internal operations and client deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, evaluate, and determine the prep-level of documents for scanning.

  • Suggest improvements to file naming conventions and folder structures for client deliverables.

  • Remove staples, post-it notes, flags, and bindings to prepare documents for feed scanners.

  • Create an index of documents and establish a meaningful digital folder structure.

  • Scan small and large-format documents (larger than 11 x 17) using production scanning equipment.

  • Process scanned documents to meet client requirements, ensuring quality, file size, and text-searchability.

  • Conduct quality control checks to verify all documents are scanned, complete, and legible.

  • Deliver finished products to clients via upload link, USB, or other approved methods.

  • Organize and maintain a productive work area.

  • Work overtime as needed to meet client expectations.

  • Assist other departments and customer service as needed, including answering phones and taking messages.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • 1–2 years of experience in scanning, document handling, reprographics, or printing.

  • 1–2 years of experience in data entry, file handling, or document management.

  • Proficient with Acrobat, Bluebeam, or other PDF software.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted and stand for extended periods.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy and quality.

  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

  • Tech-savvy with the ability to navigate new and existing software efficiently.

  • Positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and improve processes.
