Now hiring for a hybrid Donor Services Specialist for our nonprofit client in Little Rock, AR!

Pay: $21.65/hr
Hours: 8am-5pm, M-F
Location: Little Rock, AR 72202 (hybrid schedule)
Position Type: Temporary (through 12/31/2025)

Job Summary: Provide top-notch service to donors, volunteers, and/or internal staff via phone, email, web chat, written, and in person correspondence.

Responsibilities

  • Donor & volunteer engagement (40%)
    • Provide top notch service to all customers – both external and internal.
    • Assist with handling 80,000 incoming phone contacts annually.  Each call will focus on engaging donors with delightful service and increasing fundraising revenue and retention.  All calls are expected to be responded to within 20 seconds. 
    • Assist with corresponding to over 20,000 emails.  Each response must be service minded and answered within one business day.  All responses will use approved formatting and language to ensure consistent voice with our donors.
    • Assist with engaging with over 13,000 donors via web chat.  This task will require you to assist multiple donors at the same time while maintaining excellent service.  All responses must be personal and use approved language and formatting.  All chats must be responded to within 20 seconds.
    • Assist with processing over 1.1M educational and fundraising collateral pieces.  Identify and suggest the best fundraising pieces for each fundraiser.
    • Assist donors with processing over 21,000 merchandise and/or Marketplace Items annually. 
    • Increase fundraising revenue.  Capitalize on each opportunity including upselling, promotion of matching funds and other marketing campaigns.
    • Must be able to answer donor questions quickly and accurately using approved information and resources. 
 
    • Facilitate over 40,000 donor communication preferences to ensure each donor's wishes are honored as to how much communication they like with our organization across all channels. 
    • Crosstrain on all other processes within Donors Services. Including but not limited to – corporate match, data entry and indexing donations, resources, merchandise, updates, communication preferences, catalog requests, removes, memorial cards, correspondence, calls, web-chat, emails, receptionist backup, and any other service functions for our donors, volunteers, and internal team members.
    • High technology skills needed with a complete automated, paperless workflow environment. Systems including, but not limited to, BBEC, Oracle Service Cloud, Optix, Unity, Broadworks, LaserFiche, IATS, TSYS, Classy, Cash Pro, Pay Pal, Lexis Nexis, Skype, Evision, Uptivity, Microsoft Suite, Articulate Story Line, WorkFront, Heifer CMS, Smart Draw, Visio, Auto IT, and others as needed.
    • Maintain production standards.
    • Prioritization skills required to thrive. 
  • Quality of Care (40%)
    • Handle all customer interactions in a professional manner by listening to needs and providing solutions. Going above and beyond. “Yes we can!”
    • Process all transactions accurately and efficiently.
    • Maintain quality assurance standards.
    • High ability to problem solve. Must be able to come up with appropriate solution and focus on finding a way to say yes to a donor's need. 
    • Must be able to listen to and adapt to quality of care feedback in an effort to strive for excellence.
  • Cornerstones & Milestones (20%)
    • Continuously meet and maintain strategic, departmental service level guarantees and quality assurance of all functions within Donor Services
    • Same-day service and one-interaction resolution

Qualifications
  • HS Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3+ years of customer service or call center experience
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Proficient with using technology and multitasking (using several systems at once)
  • Ability to meet and exceed quotas
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Donor-centric mentality, with the ability to maintain sensitive and confidential donor and internal information
  • Knowledge of the nonprofit sector with awareness of the context in which nonprofit organizations operate
  • Easily adaptable to change
  • Ability to take a typing test, internet speed test, and submit a writing sample
