Company: Kelly Services – Supporting GE Vernova
Schedule:  Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm EST 
Location:  Remote – US
Position:  Wind Technical EHS Writer 

Pay: $38-$45/hr

Role Summary / Purpose:
Remote Wind EHS Technical Writer which will create and integrate EHS policy documents used by the Wind business segments to understand and apply environmental, health and safety standards to frontline activities. This role will transition existing Wind EHS policies to the new quality document template, update and make appropriate changes to the new business structure and consolidate existing similar EHS documents into a cohesive One Wind policy standard leveraging the GEV EHS technical standards and Framework guidance.  

Responsibilities:
•    Consolidate and update Wind EHS policy documents to the new document template
•    Clean up old language, links, and terminology as part of transition from Renewables to One Wind
•    Collaborate with subject matter experts to create one cohesive document for GE Vernova Wind
•    Review and revise documentation for clarity, accuracy, grammar and consistency
•    Identify opportunities to improve documentation to align with GEV EHS Technical standards 
•    Provide timely updating of various documents from multiple sources 
•    Ensure that all documentation meets client requirements, industry standards, and company guidelines 

Essential Skills & Qualifications:
•    Strong writing, editing and communication abilities 
•    Ability to understand and simplify complex technical concepts is vital 
•    Familiarity with technical authorizing languages like XML, SGML. 
•    Strong organizational and project management skills 
•    Experience in the energy industry or similar field is preferred
•    Strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to convey them clearly
•    Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Office suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro required, expert level preferred in Microsoft Word. Proficiency in additional documentation and e-learning tools a plus.
•    Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
•    Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Requirements:
•    Bachelor's degree in English, Technical communications, or engineering related field 
•    Minimum 2-5 years' experience in technical writing 
•    Advanced proficiency in Excel, MS Office, and Word, Outlook, MS Teams
•    Critical thinking and attention to detail
•    Project oriented mindset
•    Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work and communicate with all levels of staff
•    MUST be self-reliant 
•    Must have the ability to apply educated judgement
•    Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality
