Electrical Engineer (Rittman, Ohio)
Our client, a  well-known leader in the Manufacturing Industry, is currently hiring a Electrical Engineer to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing plant electrical systems, ensuring operational efficiency, and driving capital improvement projects. Client prefers a Contract to Hire model. 

Position Overview:
The successful candidate will assist in the design and commissioning of capital projects, provide maintenance troubleshooting, and create or alter HMI and PLC programs for both existing and new equipment. This role involves integrating new equipment into existing lines, updating engineering documentation, and managing projects from inception to completion. The Electrical Engineer will also be responsible for planning, scheduling, and budgeting expense projects for process improvements, as well as commissioning and integrating these projects using both internal union maintenance personnel and external contractors. Additionally, upgrading and troubleshooting legacy equipment and providing around-the-clock support are key responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and Commissioning: Assist in the design and commissioning of capital projects and integrate new equipment into existing production lines.
Programming and Integration: Create, alter, and update HMI and PLC programs; coordinate with electrical and instrumentation technicians to ensure accurate implementation (Majority of programming involvement will be optimizing, debugging or troubleshooting. An Engineer that doesn't want to spend their time Programming is not a loss for this role). 
Project Management: Manage projects from inception to completion, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting for process improvements.
Troubleshooting Support: Troubleshooting support for electrical systems and equipment, though rare, this may include fielding off-hour emergency issues. 
Troubleshoot, maintain, and improve electrical systems, PLCs, HMIs, and control networks (Allen Bradley experience preferred). Support plant operations with power distribution systems and industrial instrumentation/control systems (12V to 480V). Collaborate cross-functionally with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
Documentation: Update and maintain engineering documentation for all projects and equipment changes.

Qualifications:
Strong understanding of industrial and commercial control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.
Demonstrated experience with electrical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance.
Minimum three to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in electrical engineering, specifically in designing and commissioning capital projects.
Knowledge of HMI and PLC programming (client uses Allen Bradley PLC's).
Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, schedule, and budget effectively.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, contractors, and production teams.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation.

Additional Requirements:
Ability to provide 24/7 troubleshooting support when needed.
Familiarity with legacy equipment upgrades is a plus.
Familiarity with NFPA 70E, NEC, and other applicable electrical codes and safety standards is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.

Instrumentation & Controls Engineer (Janesville, WI)
Our client (highly regulated industry, business is medical isotopes and therapeutics), is currently hiring an Electrical Engineer to oversee the development of digital and analog control systems, including distributed control systems (DCS), programmable logic controllers (PLC), and data acquisition systems (DAQ), by performing reviews of vendor deliverables.

New hire will need design experience writing functional specs, & design specs, and will be the key player responsible for a subset of the I&C equipment, guiding it through the design, procurement and construction process while ensuring it meets design requirements. The I&C Engineer will assist with the design, development, procurement, construction, installation, and testing of systems used to control and monitor processes for new medical isotope production facility. The I&C Engineer works as part of a collaborative team that oversees the design of the control systems and selects instruments and equipment for facility.

The base salary range for this position is $83,000-$135,000 per year plus a comprehensive compensation package.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead interfaces between stakeholders and the I&C team.
Provide input on the schedule tasks for length and effort required to create design products.
Drive decisions on vendor requests, changes, and updates to equipment and programming.
Become the responsible engineer for a subset of the I&C equipment, guiding it through the design, procurement and construction process while ensuring it meets design requirements.
Oversee the development of digital and analog control systems, including distributed control systems (DCS), programmable logic controllers (PLC), and data acquisition systems (DAQ), by performing reviews of vendor deliverables.
Provide an interface with the Auxiliary Systems Group to coordinate the power distribution to I&C equipment.
Prepare instrument specifications, calculations, and test plans to support the design, new construction, testing, commissioning, in-field troubleshooting and operation of future medical isotope production facilities.
Design and implement instrument cable routing, conduit and raceway design, installation drawings, and loop diagrams.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related technical discipline.
5-20+ years of experience in relevant I&C engineering roles. Position level based upon years of relevant experience.
Knowledge in I&C systems, hardware, software, theory of operation, equipment environmental, seismic qualification (EQ) testing and plant start-ups.
Finalization of specifications and design documents for vendor implementation on the plant control system and safety related systems.

Skills in one or more of the following areas would make a candidate stand out:
Experience in nuclear analog and digital instrumentation, control, and monitoring.
Knowledge of nuclear safety related systems desired but not required (NQA-1).
Understanding of appropriate cable shielding, type, radiation tolerance, and separation by safety train.
Development of requirements for plant control system programming using Allen Bradley hardware.
PLC and SCADA HMI development and creation of PLC I/O design documents.
Cable routing and management.
HMI programming.
Design of FPGA platform for safety related actuations with vendor.
