Description

We are currently seeking an Electronics Test Technician I to join our dedicated team. This role involves inspecting and testing electrical/electronic power equipment, including transformers and circuit breakers, and troubleshooting AC and DC power/control circuits up to 480V.

Temp-To-Hire

Shift:
1st Shift (6 AM - 2:30 PM)

Pay Rate:
$25-$30/hour (Depending on Experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and test electrical/electronic power equipment, transformers, and circuit breakers.
  • Troubleshoot AC and DC power and control circuits up to 480V.
  • Perform repairs on control, power, and fiber optic assemblies, including crimping and routing.
  • Program electronic devices and interface with computers.
  • Complete test reports and documentation using computers and paperwork.

Physical Demands:

  • Standing for extended periods.
  • Handling and manipulating objects, tools, and controls.
  • Reaching with hands and arms; stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
  • Visual acuity for near, distance, color, and depth perception.
  • Occasionally lifting up to 30 pounds.

Work Environment:

  • Working around voltages and circuits up to 480V.
  • Occasional use of a step ladder.
  • Exposure to moderately loud noise and heat during load testing.

Job Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or 2 years minimum experience in the power industry.
  • Proficiency with voltmeters and current meters.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with hand tools and electrical PPE.
  • Knowledge of Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.
  • Computer experience with Excel, Word, and file manipulation.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with electrical parts assembly and wiring.
  • Electrical troubleshooting of components and electronics.
  • Proficiency with measurement tools.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with programming and knowledge of the NEC code is a plus.
