Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineering Technician in Lockport, IL. Candidates must have experience with troubleshooting electronics, down to the component level. Must have minimum 2 years' experience.
This is a contract to hire opportunity, meaning you will get hired directly after 3-4 months, depending on your performance and attendance.

Available shifts and pay:
$35 - $40/hr., based on experience
1st Shift: 7am – 4pm
Job Summary:
- Use schematics, oscilloscopes, and other tools to troubleshoot PCB assembly to component level.
- Final “box build”, testing and calibration of Electrical Test & Measurement equipment.
- Repair, test, & calibrate customer units which have been returned for service.
- Complete and maintain production documentation, including repair database and inventory management.
- Communicate with customers regarding equipment performance and applications assistance.
- Work in a team environment with engineering, sales, production and purchasing personnel.
Required experience and education:
- Need to be solid in troubleshooting electronics, down to the component level
- Read schematics
- Understand the operations of a board and be able to figure out its faults
- Deep understanding of circuitry
- A thorough knowledge of electrical and electronic theory.
- Experience reading schematics and effectively troubleshooting systems and circuit assemblies.
- Experience with standard manufacturing processes and software applications.
- Skilled in the use of multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and other electrical test equipment.
- Ability to use hand tools; SMT soldering and de-soldering is a plus.
- Ability to work OT on an as-needed basis to meet company goals.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow verbal instructions as well as written procedures.
- Must possess solid judgement and decision-making skills.
- Must be well organized and be able to multi-task.
- Ability to communicate professionally both orally and in written form.
- Ability to work well with others and must be a conscientious and cooperative team player.
- A 2-year degree in electronics and/or military school.
- 2+ years of experience reading schematics and effectively troubleshooting systems and circuit assemblies.
