Responsibilities:
1. Assembly and Wiring: o Assemble and wire medium voltage power distribution components e.g., switches, switchgear, circuit breakers, bus bars per specification. o Interpret and follow electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure correct assembly. o Perform detailed installation of control wiring, grounding, relays, sensors, and other critical elements.
2. Quality Control and Testing: o Perform electrical and functional tests to verify compliance with industry and customer standards. o Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure assemblies are free of defects and perform within required tolerances. o Document test results, adjustments, and rework performed during the assembly process.
3. Troubleshooting and Rework: o Diagnose and resolve wiring or component issues that arise during the assembly or testing stages. o Replace or repair faulty components as needed, ensuring compliance with quality standards. o Work closely with engineering or manufacturing teams to resolve complex assembly issues.
4. Documentation and Compliance: o Complete all required documentation accurately, including work orders, test records, and inventory tracking. o Adhere to workplace safety standards, including the proper use of personal protective equipment PPE . o Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure efficient assembly processes.
5. Collaboration and Communication: o
Work closely with team members, supervisors, and engineers to meet production timelines and quality standards. o Report issues or suggestions for process improvement to the production supervisor or quality control team.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required, technical certification or associate s degree in electrical or mechanical field preferred. Experience in assembly or wiring of electrical components, particularly in medium voltage applications, is a plus. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints. Familiarity with tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power testing equipment preferred. Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, bending, or kneeling. Comfort working in a production environment with potential exposure to electrical hazards with proper PPE provided.
