Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION 
This position is responsible for the application of technical electrical and mechanical analysis to continuously improve manufacturing processes and design of products.  Functions performed may include analysis of circuits, rework, assembly operations and participating as a supporting member of the Manufacturing Engineering team focusing on continuous improvement. Knowledge of reading schematics, electrical and mechanical assembly operations, soldering surface mount and through-hole components, and electrical testing operations at the circuit level required.
  PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/COMPETENCIES  

  • Handle day-to-day problems with processes, product, equipment and documentation.
  • Investigate and complete assigned Corrective Action Requests.
  • Design tooling required for critical assembly, test, production, or inspection operations.
  • Develop new processing techniques to reduce non-conformance and production costs.
  • Utilize your skills to assist engineers, managers or supervisors with their projects or problems.
  • Responsible for designing, maintaining and training associates on assembly and test equipment used in manufacturing.
  • Assist maintenance and facility engineering if situations arise that are beyond their resource expertise.
  EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE  
  • Associates degree in an electrical field or other equivalent training/experience
  • Circuit level troubleshooting and rework experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
