Equipment Buyer/Planner – Milpitas, CA

Kelly Project Services, a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking a Equipment Buyer/Planner for a long-term engagement at one of our Global clients in Milpitas, CA.
This role is a full-time, fully benefitted position. As a Kelly Project Services employee you will be eligible for Medical, Dental, 401K and a variety of other benefits to choose from. Title: Equipment Buyer/Planner
Location: Milpitas (95035) onsite. Must be willing to travel locally to visit suppliers within a 20 mile radius of the Milpitas campus .
Hours: M-F 8am-5pm
Pay: $40 hr; plus benefits and PTO
Duration: Six-12 month contract with possible extension.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Point person for working with the functional groups to coordinate:
    • Priority “Hot” lists
    • Change orders
    • Supplier/part qualification
    • Creating and maintaining raw material heat maps
    • Large order deliveries
  • Provide reports and updates to management
  • Perform E2E Clear to Build Analysis
  • Root Cause / Exception Management / Tracking
  • Provide reports and updates to management
  • MRB/RTS Transactions (sending material back to suppliers)
  • Plan attainment tracking and reporting
  • Facilitate RCCM investigations
    • Performance Management Tracking (KPIs)
  • Assist in placing POs
  Additional Support Areas:
  • Invoice/AP Issue resolution
  • VMI Management
  • Intercompany Purchase Orders
    • Stock transport orders; Packs, Key Cards
  • SAP Master Data
    • New Part Creation, Planning BOM Setups
  • Routing Updates/Maintenance
  • Planning BOM Forecasting
    • Maintain planning BOMs forecasts
  • Change Management
    • Change order review, phase in, phase out
  • OMP Detail Scheduling / Capacity Planning
    • MPS conversion to constrained capacity plan
    • OMP master data maintenance
  • NPI Master Data Maintenance and Setup
  • Work order creation and tracking
  Requirements:
  • Advanced analytical skills preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present to Senior Leaders
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills Ability to Influence others
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, and able to see problems and recommend or take appropriate actions to solve them
  • 5-year experience with SAP Production Planning and Purchasing modules
  • Bachelor's Degree is required; Supply Chain is preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office tools capabilities are preferred
