Responsibilities:
As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in calculating major EPC construction cost estimates. Your responsibilities will include:
- Determining the total cost of materials, equipment, and labor for EPC construction projects.
- Researching construction documents and analyzing specifications to prepare accurate estimates.
- Planning, organizing, and scheduling project work effectively.
- Managing pre-qualification and pre-bid submissions to ensure compliance.
- Preparing estimates that align with project goals, including setting work hours and sequencing tasks.
- Collaborating with Procurement to secure the best deals with vendors and subcontractors.
- Ensuring timely submission of relevant documents and budgets before bid deadlines.
- Regularly reporting to management and keeping clients updated on project status.
- Formulating contingency plans and managing risks that may impact cost and time estimates.
- Staying updated on the latest estimating technology and industry-related techniques.
- Conducting site visits and collaborating with other teams as needed.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you should meet the following minimum requirements:
- 10-12 years of experience in estimating within the EPC Industrial construction field.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Expertise in piping and mechanical estimating.
- Proficiency in assessing project and resource requirements.
- Proven ability to estimate, negotiate, and agree on budgets and timescales with clients and managers.
- Exceptional time management, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong management and negotiation skills.
- Excellent research, proposal writing, and oral presentation skills.
- Advanced computer skills and knowledge of best industry practices and standards.
- Willingness to travel and perform site visits.
