Salary: $25.00 per hour Shift: Monday to Sunday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Overtime as required Why you should apply to be Facilities Maintenance Technician:

What's a typical day as Facilities Maintenance Technician You'll be:
  • Supporting day-to-day facilities operations and responding on-call to emergencies such as floods or equipment issues
  • Performing hands-on facility repairs, preventative maintenance, and event setup
  • Handling emergency response and spill clean-up efforts
  • Assisting in coordination with external contractors and vendors, including electricians, plumbers, and calibration services
  • Utilizing electronic databases (COGz, SharePoint) for maintenance tracking and documentation
  • Collaborating with the Environmental Health and Safety Department and maintaining compliance with Responsible Care RC program standards
  • Maintaining thorough documentation, reports, and records in line with SOP and regulatory standards
  • Tracking and maintaining safety device inventories and personal protective equipment usage
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Have general knowledge in the operation and maintenance of industrial buildings, including fire suppression, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
  • Understand cal/OSHA and EPA requirements for facilities maintenance
  • Bring at least 2 years of relevant experience (laboratory setting preferred)
  • Possess hands-on skills in sanding, painting, and general facilities maintenance (professional painting experience is a plus)
  • Are able to safely carry up to 50 lbs
  • Are available for both telephonic and in-person interviews
  • Are detail-oriented and committed to safety, compliance, and strong documentation practices
