Title: Field Service Planner
Location: Export, PA
Position Type: Contract (6 months)
Pay Rate: $25-$29/HR
SUMMARY
The Service Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and invoicing field service engineer site visits.? This includes parts planning, tracking and delivery.? Also responsible for scheduling of serivce agreement parts and visits to ensure contractural obligations are met.? Taking?responsibility for the complete customer service experience, ensuring that all planned service requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner.?
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as liaison with customers by phone or e-mail to arrange and confirm the service visits and ensure they are fully aware of the work and the date the work is to be carried out.?
- Utilize planning software (VEasyPlanner), to ensure the orders are correctly created, allocated and released to the field service engineers before the visit date.
- Ensure all parts are available, ordered and received, prior to the visit date.?
- Monitoring and recording the progress of all customer orders to ensure work is fully completed, and any additional work is planned and completed in a timely fashion.?
- Ensure all field service time and reports are transferred into SAP and that all service orders are closed and/or invoiced immediately upon completion by Field Service Engineer.? Escalate any issues to Field Area Manager.?
- Maintain all orders on Planning Board, to ensure all work is correctly allocated, so that quality reports can be gathered via SAP.???
- Maintain service agreement log and ensure all contract invoicing is completed in compliance with contractual payment schedules. Assist with contract processing when required?
- Regularly communicate with the Field Service Engineers, Field Area Manager and National Operations Manager, internal departments, and other Service Centers to expedite customer requests.?
- Escalate any operational/planning problems to the Field Area Manager and/or National Service Manager to highlight and resolve in an effective and efficient manner.
- Collect information from the Field Service Engineers to accurately record and maintain customer records and information
- Follow up on aging Field Service quotes, PO's, and WIP.
- Monitor and maintain budgeted hours for commissioning; alert manager/account manager when approaching quoted hours.
- Coordinate with the Field Service Engineer and Field Area Manager to develop supporting documentation in PARS for Field Service Warranty denial & failure analysis reports. Communicate findings with the Sales team, (i.e., written reports, and photos).
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in Supply Chain, Service Administration, and/or Parts Planning
- 2+ years of experience with SAP or equivalent
- HS Diploma Required; AA degree preferred
- Positive customer-focused attitude and successful interaction in a dynamic team environment is a must?
- Individual must have be self-motivated and result driven
- Ability to analyze data and influence improvements
- Understand and demonstrate an awareness of the link between their role and the business
- Ability to express ideas and receive and exchange information clearly.
- Ability to establish and implement a systematic course of action to achieve an objective effectively and efficiently.? Appreciation of the need for monitoring and control of plans
- Maintain clear focus on customer satisfaction; act when needed to meet the expectations of the customer.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office software, i.e., Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
