Kelly's customer located in North York, ON, is looking for a Financial Controller to join their organization on a temporary basis with potential to become permanent. Reporting to the Managing Director, you are in charge of the controlling activities of the entity, including accountability for the full P&L.
In the context of a very fast growing company delivering products the financial controller is acting as a business partner to the management of the entity while implementing all the necessary processes and controls according to company standards.
Responsibilities
- In charge of monthly reporting P&L and Balance sheet according to the Group standards and procedures
- In charge of providing budget and forecast data in line with Group standards and procedures
- In charge of monitoring and controlling costs of the entity (purchasing, manufacturing, R&D, Opex)
- Provide comprehensive and exhaustive reporting to the Global instruments Finance team regarding commercial (intercompany and third party sales) and supply chain performance of the organization (volume, value).
- Act as a business partner for the company's management team by providing insights on the commercial and Operations performance of the entity
- In charge of providing cash flow forecast of the entity
- In charge of tracking and monitoring supplier orders, including documentation, in a context of regulatory rules related to medical devices (traceability)
- In charge of the monthly submission of Opex/Capex request for the unit
- In charge of applying Group policies and procedures in the unit. First point of contact for Group Internal Control team.
- Management of an accountant in charge of the following activities (not exhaustive): payroll, accounts payables, accounts receivables, goods shipping and receiving flows
- Is involved or leading initiatives and projects linked to financial transformation in the entity
- Other duties as per customer's requirements.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Management or Finance from Business School / University
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Proven project management skills with a record of accomplishment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain credibility and trust with the business partners
- Excellent judgment, problem-solving capabilities, and analytical mindset.
- Possesses clear background checks
Perks:
- Work Monday to Friday, from 8am - 5pm
- $45.00 per hour plus 4% Vacation Pay. Paid weekly
- Temporary position with potential to go longer
