Description

Kelly Services is seeking a dedicated Finisher to produce high-quality prototype models and ensure they meet our established standards. The Finisher will utilize a variety of hand tools to process 3D printed parts, perform support removal, sanding, media blasting, and polishing to achieve desired aesthetics and functionality. Additional responsibilities include part counting, quality inspection, following work orders, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Extract parts from the machine build for powder bed fusion technologies and remove support structures and materials.
  • Utilize equipment such as a tumbler, bead blaster, or water works station for basic operations.
  • Perform hands-on powder handling, such as sieving and cleaning.
  • Self-inspect parts/components with strong attention to detail.
  • Accurately read and record critical manufacturing process information.
  • Understand build IDs and work orders and ensure proper paperwork and computer documentation for each job.
  • Perform basic finishing techniques on prototype models and production parts using hand tools.
  • Compare physical parts with 3D CAD data for quality inspection where applicable.
  • Ensure finished parts meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Maintain part traceability and complete all relevant documentation timely.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures, ISO, ITAR, and aerospace requirements.
  • Identify and address faulty parts based on work orders, and report issues to Lead/Supervisor.
  • Participate actively in housekeeping efforts by maintaining a clean, safe work area.
  • Strictly adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic math skills and computer experience (Microsoft Office and email).
  • Experience working with hands and good fine motor skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and craftsmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and with partners.
  • Availability for weekend work and overtime.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience in manufacturing end-use parts.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as sanders and drills or in assembly.
  • Experience with precise measurement equipment.
  • Familiarity with reading blueprints.
