Location: Lihue, Kauai

Department Overview:

The Food and Nutrition Services department is dedicated to providing quality, nutritious meals to patients, staff, and visitors, while also promoting healthy eating habits. The team works closely with medical staff to ensure accurate dietary modifications for patients and manages all meal service activities within the facility.

Position Overview:

As a Food Service Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering healthy and nutritious meals as part of a high-quality healthcare team. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assembling and delivering meal trays to patients
• Working in the cafeteria (serving, cleaning, stocking)
• Performing cashier duties
• Washing dishware and utensils
• Assisting with pantry management and nourishment activities
• Participating in catering events

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Compensation: $22/hr

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• ServSafe Certification preferred
• One (1) year of general food service experience or equivalent vocational training preferred
• Previous institutional or healthcare food service experience preferred
• Team player with strong attention to detail
• Commitment to quality healthcare and customer service

Requirements:

• Background check required
• Drug test required
• TB test required
