Job Title: Forklift Driver (Order Picker)
Location: Sacramento, CA
Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: $20 -21
Duration: 1-2 months
Job Description:
We are seeking a Warehouse worker to assist with a box pull-down project. The ideal candidates will be skilled in operating an order picker and will be responsible for maintaining and processing physical assets stored in our Records Center.
Primary Functions:
- Process daily incoming and rush work orders from Client Services; scan carton barcodes and locations.
- Investigate and resolve order discrepancies; manifest all orders, bundle, and prepare for shipment.
- Scan incoming containers, files, and tapes each morning; notify supervisor of discrepancies.
- Process client onsite record reviews.
- Retrieve files, containers, and tapes daily.
- Put up files within 48 hours, containers within 24 hours, and tapes within 24 hours of receipt.
- Assist in loading and unloading company trucks and vans.
- Ensure regular scanner communication and process steps are completed daily.
- Maintain assigned racking and row upkeep.
- Accurately prepare necessary paperwork.
- Communicate difficult order issues to the manager.
- Inspect and maintain all equipment, including scanners and record center vehicles.
- Perform auditing as scheduled or requested.
- Observe safety procedures and report any safety issues to the supervisor.
- Communicate regularly with the supervisor about potential issues.
Secondary Functions:
- Advise the manager of any issues requiring immediate attention, including customer complaints.
- Participate in safety and security drills; report violations.
- Understand defined role in the Company Disaster Recovery Plan.
- Report all accidents and injuries immediately to the supervisor.
- Travel between facilities when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members.
- Work overtime as necessary.
Other Responsibilities:
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse/physical atmosphere and/or service industry.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Skilled in operating an Order Picker
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to complete paperwork accurately and understand the importance of detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Routine lifting of 20-50 pounds (100-400 containers per day).
- Routine scanning of materials.
- Overhead reaching, bending, stretching, pushing, and pulling of boxes and pallet jacks.
- Able to operate forklift (Order Picker)
- Must be able to climb stairs and use tools to maneuver materials.
