Pay/Shift:
6:00am - 6:30pm - $19.00/hour
6:00pm - 6:30am - $20.00/hour

What's a typical day as a General Labor? You'll be:
• Supporting a variety of responsibilities based on the current season, such as inspecting and maintaining seed crops, supporting seed inventory management, harvesting and seed packaging, cleaning and packaging seed, and warehousing and shipping seed.
• Receiving and processing trucks hauling crop from the field for weighing and unloading.
• Completing a wide range of harvest activities, including husk and sort operations.
• Operating dryer to dry crop within prescribed safety, quality, and financial requirements.
• Shelling and storing crop from bins in the dryer facility.
• Supplying the Conditioning department with a constant supply of seed.
• Applying appropriate treatment to seed.
• Labeling, tagging, bagging, and palletizing seed.
• Entering inventory information into the computer.
• Staging seed for shipment in the warehouse.
• Retagging in-house seed.
• Re-bagging backhaul (returned) seed.
• Inspecting pro boxes to ensure they are free of debris and clean.
• Washing pro boxes as necessary.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have knowledge of production agriculture and production plant operations.
• Can safely perform duties in a timely fashion while maintaining seed quality.
• Are able to work independently or with a team.
• Can adjust to changing conditions and anticipate needs.
• Are able to work in an environment that is exposed to Corn Pollen, Weed Pollen and Corn Dust
• Have reliable transportation to the site and can arrive at the work site as instructed.
• Maintain enthusiasm, a good attitude, honesty, and a willingness to treat all with respect.
• Are able to work long hours and rotational shifts, including overtime as needed.
• Have the ability to communicate verbally and in written form.
• Can lift, push, pull up to 60 pounds, work indoors and outdoors, and walk on uneven surfaces.
