Put your greenhouse and plant science skills to work with Bayer AG in Jerseyville, IL. We're hiring Greenhouse Operations Specialists to support advanced crop research and greenhouse operations in a hands-on, detail-driven environment.

? What's a typical day as a Greenhouse Operations Specialist? You will:
? Operate and monitor greenhouse environmental control systems.
? Program irrigation systems, troubleshoot alarms, and maintain equipment.
? Maintain cleanliness and organization in greenhouse spaces, including racks, hoses, lighting, and evaporative cooling systems.
? Assist with planting, sampling, pollinations, harvesting, and other research support activities.
? Collect and log data to support research trials.
? Install and remove experimental irrigation systems, and maintain equipment post-experiment.
? Coordinate with other Bayer greenhouse sites and attend project/team meetings.
? Follow all safety, sanitation, and compliance standards in greenhouse operations.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:
Interest in greenhouse operations, plant science, or agricultural research.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple tasks/projects.
Comfort working independently in hands-on, physical environments.
Willingness to complete Ag Worker and Pesticide Handler training.
Ability to lift, stand, and work in varying greenhouse conditions.
Basic math skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Work Environment & Expectations:
Hands-on greenhouse environment with exposure to plants, soil, irrigation systems, and environmental controls.
Regular physical activity including lifting, standing, bending, and moving equipment.
Flexible schedule for weekends, holidays, and seasonal research needs.
Strict adherence to safety, sanitation, and compliance standards.
