Are you an experienced histology professional ready to take the next step in your career? We're hiring a Lab Supervisor – Histology to lead day-to-day operations, support lab staff, and ensure regulatory and quality standards are met in a high-performance laboratory environment.
About the Role:As the Histology Lab Supervisor, you'll oversee histotechnologists, technicians, and assistants while ensuring smooth lab operations, accurate documentation, equipment maintenance, and compliance with safety and quality regulations. You'll also play a key role in training, mentoring, and supporting staff — while serving as a vital resource for physicians, pathologists, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:-
Supervise histology lab personnel and daily operations

Ensure regulatory compliance, quality control, and accreditation readiness

Oversee equipment maintenance, documentation, and chemical hygiene practices

Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and workflow assistance

Coordinate training and mentoring for lab staff

Approve timecards, manage PTO, and support scheduling
-
Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient lab environment

Ensure adherence to all HIPAA, safety, and quality policies

Associate or Bachelor's degree required
-
Completion of an accredited Histology program or equivalent experience
-
HT (ASCP) certification required; HTL (ASCP) preferred

5+ years of experience in a histology lab setting

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with LIS systems required

Voice dictation experience a plus

Strong leadership and team collaboration

Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy

In-depth knowledge of histology lab practices, safety protocols, and workflow

Effective communication and training ability

Strategic thinker with a focus on quality and process improvement
