HR Generalist (Onsite)
Location: Thomaston, CT
Salary: $80,000/year

What's a typical day as HR Generalist? You'll be:
  • Managing the internal/external recruiting process, including coordinating/managing job postings, sourcing candidates, resume screening, conducting/scheduling interviews, and issuing offer letters
  • Providing personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management
  • Conducting yearly open enrollment benefits training and assisting with employee inquiries/changes
  • Managing and resolving employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Creating and distributing internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies
  • Administering new employee onboarding and orientation
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and work experience in Human Resources
  • Possess 3-5 years' work experience in an HR Generalist role or similar position, ideally in a manufacturing environment
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in handling sensitive employee relations issues and coaching senior leaders
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have strong staffing/recruiting skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software (Workday a plus)
  • Exhibit strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people at all levels of the organization
  • Can manage a high level of confidentiality with maturity
  • Have a strong working knowledge of HR principles and practices, as well as knowledge of State and Federal laws and regulations
