Human Resources Generalist

Location: Piedmont, SC

Pay Range: $35-45/hour

Contract Type: Temporary to Hire

 

Overview:

Kelly Services has partnered with a global company seeking an HR Generalist for their Piedmont, SC site. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in the manufacturing industry and have aspirations to grow within the field of human resources. The HR Generalist will be responsible for efficiently managing the daily operations related to human resources activities. Apply today for immediate consideration!

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Submit merit and payroll increases for hourly employees.
  • Administer fitness and referral programs.
  • Support benefit enrollment and education for site employees.
  • Respond to employee requests and HR-related inquiries.
  • Maintain the random drug testing list.
  • Conduct payroll, benefits, and other HR audits, recommending corrective actions.
  • Handle record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entry.
  • Maintain site org charts and update communication boards.
  • Manage site posting boards and track donations.
  • File documents into employee files and prepare correspondence as needed.
  • Serve as the primary contact for new employees, handling onboarding and first-day requirements.
  • Develop orientation schedules and conduct HR orientation sessions.
  • Follow up on background checks and online training.
  • Complete and verify Forms I-9.
  • Lead employee engagement activities and administer related programs.
  • Coordinate and order recognition items.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of related experience, preferably in a manufacturing or union setting.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Professionalism, confidentiality, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Kronos, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to multitask, solve problems, and manage time effectively.
  • Solid understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
