(2) HVAC Maintenance Technician
MUST PRIOR HAVE EXPERIENCE working in a Pharmaceutical/Biotech Industry as an HVAC Maintenance Tech Role.
Direct Hire $25-$35/HR DOE
Scheduled Days: M-F and must be available weekends (rotating schedules – every month)
Three shifts You Will Work:
6 AM - 3:30 PM
2 PM - 10:30 PM
10 PM - 6:30 AM

Title of the Position: Technician
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Engineering and maintenance professional who can handle HVAC , Utilities and other pharmaceutical equipment's to join our team. In this key role, you'll be responsible for operating and maintaining our HVAC , utilities and other pharmaceutical equipment's ensuring they function safely, efficiently, and reliably. This position is pivotal in minimizing downtime and supporting our manufacturing operations' overall productivity and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain the AHU systems, BMS and EMS systems. Daily operating the equipment, monitoring and recording the same, any trouble shoots are to be done with the equipment and its distribution. Monitor HVAC systems to detect malfunctions and necessary maintenance.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, inspection and maintenance. Coordinate with the team to implement repairs and improvements
- Adhere to all environmental policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal regulations. Train and mentor junior staff on above utility equipment.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to implement repairs and improvements. Follow good manufacturing practices as per pharmaceutical industry requirement, get trained in all the SOP and follow the same.
- Operation and maintenance of Chillers, Air Compressor, LN2 system, Hot water, Boiler system, Industrial water, City water system and respective distribution systems.
- Knowledge and experience in cGMP and FDA 21 CFR parts 210 and 211, Need to work on different shifts to operate the utility run 24*7. Perform preventive maintenance for the equipment and able to identify all the spares required and maintain the spares at site
- Monitor HVAC systems to detect malfunctions and necessary maintenance. perform routine inspection and maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal operation and record maintain daily logs on HVAC operations, maintenance, and safety activities
- Knowledge of clean room classification, AHU zoning, pressure balancing and other operations related to AHU and its area of supply
- Prepare the SOP / EOP for the system and follow good documentation practices, cross train in all facilities and engineering departments as needed, and any other duties as assigned by Supervisor
- Operate, maintain, Control, monitor and trouble shoot all electrical supplies from SMUD to different equipment. Make sure the area is clean and maintain the area with proper status. Able to raise and give technical data for any deviations and change control.
- Operate and maintain the Electrical distribution panel, UPS and supply of power to different equipment's. Daily operating the equipment's, monitoring and recording the same.
- Operation and Maintenance of RO system, PW generation, WFI generation, PS generation and respective storage and distribution systems, regular monitoring and recording of different equipment
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to implement repairs and improvements.
- Adhere to all environmental policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
- Ability to lean other system and operate them.
- Follow Good documentation practices
- Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in engineering and maintenance activities of pharmaceutical industry
- Ability to handle all the equipment's which comes under pharmaceutical industry during regular maintenance or breakdown activities.
- Systems & Components: Experience in HVAC systems , pharmaceutical utilities , filling lines , autoclaves formulation systems etc
- Electrical & Mechanical Expertise: Proficiency in wiring, circuit boards, motors, and other mechanical systems used in pharmaceutical industry .
- Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Ability to efficiently diagnose and resolve system issues using diagnostic tools.
- Installation, Repair, & Maintenance: Skilled in installing, repairing, and maintaining components and systems.
- Customer Service & Communication: Strong skills in explaining issues and maintaining professional client relationships.
- Energy Efficiency & Sustainability: Awareness of energy-efficient systems and eco-friendly practices.
- Safety & Compliance: Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and adherence to industry standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
- Adaptability & Continuous Learning: Ability to work in varied conditions, learn new technologies, and stay updated with industry advancements.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Legally authorized to be employed in the United States (U.S. citizens or national, permanent residents)
- Must live or willing to move to Sacramento Metropolitan Region (Approx. 40 miles' radius)
- Able to successfully complete a drug and background check
- Able and willing to walk, stoop, stand, bend, and lift throughout each shift, with or without accommodation
