Industrial Maintenance Technician / Machine Operator
Location: Monroe, NC
Pay: $22–$27 per hour (based on experience and interview)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
No required overtime

The facility in Monroe, NC produces critical structural components for the aerospace industry, utilizing cutting-edge processes such as hot forming, stretch forming, and CNC machining. The team is dedicated to delivering high-quality parts that meet strict industry standards for performance and reliability.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Industrial Maintenance Technician with strong machine operation experience to join our team. This dual-role position supports production by operating precision equipment and ensuring machinery is maintained for optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Operation

  • Set up and operate CNC and/or manual machines (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.) for aerospace part production

  • Load raw materials, monitor machine operations, and make necessary adjustments to ensure adherence to specifications

  • Inspect finished components using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools

  • Maintain process efficiency and part quality by adjusting machine parameters as needed

  • Record production data accurately for traceability and quality control

Maintenance Duties

  • Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of production equipment

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

  • Maintain detailed maintenance logs in compliance with internal procedures and safety standards

  • Partner with engineering and quality teams to identify root causes of issues and implement corrective actions

  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company protocols during maintenance activities

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or associate degree preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in machine operation and/or industrial maintenance, preferably in aerospace or precision manufacturing

  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

  • Familiarity with CNC machines and industrial equipment maintenance

  • Knowledge of OSHA safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in AS9100 or ISO 9001-certified manufacturing environments

  • Familiarity with ERP systems and maintenance software (CMMS)

  • Basic understanding of PLC diagnostics and programming

Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing environment with moderate to high noise

  • Regular interaction with heavy machinery and industrial materials

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and wear appropriate PPE
