Overview
This client is a dynamic industrial equipment company specializing in the maintenance, repair, and resale of commercial and industrial-sized HVAC units, industrial chillers, and pumps. We are seeking a dedicated and versatile HVAC and Industrial Painter to join our team at our Dallas, TX facility. 

Location: Dallas, TX 
Shift: 1st / Days 
Hours: 8-10 hours per day, including Saturdays 
Pay Rate: $20 - $26/hr. depending on experience 

As an Industrial Painter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the appearance of our commercial and industrial equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring that all painting activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with our safety policies and guidelines. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Clean and paint interior or exterior surfaces, structures, and production equipment following work orders and instructions from supervisors or managers. 
  • Prepare surfaces by using various methods, including sanding, wire brushing, and the application of suitable materials. 
  • Select appropriate materials and methods for painting, including the removal of fixtures when necessary. 
  • Utilize ladders and aerial lift platforms for tasks above ground level in accordance with safety guidelines. 
  • Maintain cleanliness in the work area and equipment. 
  • Operate heavy machinery and ensure that all technical equipment is in working order. 
  • Paint lines on cement surfaces and industrial equipment. 
  • Safely dispose of chemical waste and maintain high safety standards. 
  • Utilize various painting techniques based on the nature of the surface. 
  • Use viscosity cups and thickness gauges to measure paint quantities and textures. 
  • Perform touch-ups and ensure proper ventilation after painting. 
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the plant facility. 
  • Work independently or as part of a team, demonstrating good oral and written communication skills. 
  • Adapt to change and handle high-stress situations effectively. 
  • Process requisitions and order supplies as needed. 
  • Be able to work on your feet for 8 hours, lift up to 50 lbs. on a repeated basis, and safely climb ladders. 


Qualifications: 

  • High school graduate or GED with at least 2 to 3 years of experience in industrial painting within a manufacturing environment. 
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing problem-solving and prioritizing skills. 
  • Willingness to obtain additional training as required. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm in high-stress situations. 
  • Must be able to follow written procedures and work with minimal supervision. 
  • Willingness to fill in for absent or vacationing employees in the same role.
