Job Posting: Janitor - Porter Position in Pooler, GA

Pay Rate: $17.50/hour
Work Environment: Indoor

General Function:

Porters play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and order in the GMP zone of the factory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Restock and maintain handwashing stations and water stations.
  • Ensure cleanliness of common area floors and walls.
  • Collect and dispose of trash from common areas.
  • Refill, distribute, and receive bulk deliveries of chemicals.
  • Replace cleaning tools on the floor when needed.
  • Carry out Master Sanitation Schedule tasks as assigned.
  • Comply with all GMP guidelines; promptly report any food safety concerns.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and wear proper PPE at all times.
  • Report safety incidents and adhere to Company and Plant Safety Policies and Procedures, including OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as required or assigned.
Required Abilities:
  • Must be self-motivated, organized, reliable, and safety-minded.
  • Stand and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment for up to twelve hours.
  • Able to lift, kneel, bend, squat, stoop, and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
  • Committed to safe work practices.
  • Open to learning the operation of forklifts and floor scrubbers.
Education/Skill Level:
  • Strong communication, organization, and listening skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow through.
  • Capable of organizing and managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Working Conditions:

This position involves working on the production floor and frequent handling of chemicals.
