Laboratory Technician
 
Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Laboratory Technician for a 6-month temporary position at a chemical company in Signal Hill, CA. Pay Rate:  
$21/hour

Overview:
This company is a global provider of quality assurance solutions, supporting clients across various industries to ensure the safety, reliability, and sustainability of their operations and supply chains. As a Laboratory Technician, you will receive, prepare, and test samples using established procedures, ensuring accurate documentation and equipment calibration in a fast-paced environment, while adhering to strict safety protocols and quality standards.

Schedule: 
Monday-Friday, Standard Working Hours
 
Responsibilities:

  • Receive, examine, and log inbound samples for testing, carefully following established procedures to ensure proper documentation and traceability.
  • Prepare, stage, and process test samples and quality control specimens, including the preparation and standardization of reagents and solutions.
  • Perform testing on samples and quality control specimens using specific methodologies, after demonstrating proficiency and meeting quality expectations.
  • Calibrate and verify laboratory equipment to ensure all testing processes are accurate, and record results and maintenance in appropriate logs and records.
  • Review test results against specifications, communicate findings, and, when authorized, issue analyses or reports to clients.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to safety policies, properly storing supplies, and keeping equipment in good working order.
  • Support overall laboratory operations by monitoring supply levels, assisting with the training of less experienced staff, and adapting to shifting priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science or related field required.
