- Job Title: Laboratory Technician – Petroleum Lab
- Location: Benicia, CA
- Pay Rate: $28–$31/hour (New graduates welcome at $28/hour)
- Possible shift: 2pm-10:30pm
- Flexible for shifts/additional oncall duties

Kelly Science & Clinical is pleased to offer this opportunity to join a respected laboratory team at one of our global partners. We are currently seeking a Laboratory Technician to support daily laboratory operations in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner.
This position reports directly to the Laboratory Manager.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities-
Receive, examine, and log inbound samples for testing.

Deliver test samples to the appropriate staging areas.

Monitor laboratory supply levels and notify the Laboratory Manager of restocking needs.

Perform testing of samples and quality control specimens after demonstrating proficiency.

Review results against specifications and expectations.

May be authorized to release analysis results to clients.

Prepare samples, quality control specimens, reagents, and solutions.

Calibrate equipment necessary for testing procedures.

Record and verify results in laboratory logs, control charts, worksheets, and electronic systems to ensure data validity and traceability.

Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.

Assist in training less experienced technicians once proficiency is demonstrated.

Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Minimum of 2 years' experience in a laboratory environment (preferred but not required).

Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Basic technical and administrative skills needed to fulfill job duties.

Willingness and ability to travel as business needs require.

Experience handling chemical and petroleum products.

Proficiency in using online laboratory applications.

Flexibility to work all shifts, including weekends.

Ability to perform analytical tasks and accurately communicate results.
Note: We welcome new graduates for this role at a starting rate of $28/hour, with consideration for higher pay based on experience.
