Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Login Clerk for a contract to potential permanent position at a premier environmental laboratory in Brighton, MI. Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $20-24/hr – pay is dependent on experience

Overview: This client is an industry-leading environmental laboratory focused on advancing safe and accurate environmental testing services. In this role, you'll be working closely with laboratory staff and clients to ensure accurate handling and processing of client samples and documentation. This role will give you the opportunity to learn laboratory operations, build data entry skills, and play a crucial part in providing reliable results for environmental safety while helping to maintain high standards for customer service and scientific integrity

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 830AMEST – 5PMEST

Responsibilities:

  • Accept samples from clients and verify the accuracy of the Chain of Custody (COC) documentation
  • Scan COC forms and pass them to the data entry team for processing in the LIMS system
  • Keep the front area clean and presentable for clients
  • Assist with data entry and other tasks during down time, including filing, scanning, bottle orders, and other busy work
  • Support shipping and receiving functions as needed, helping to establish the shipping department
  • Memorize acronyms, hold times, test bottle types, and manage rush/short hold time tests
  • Provide excellent customer service to regular clients and residential customers
Qualifications:
  • HS diploma required
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records
  • Ability to learn and memorize laboratory acronyms and procedures
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to keep the front area presentable
  • Willingness to assist with additional tasks and train/support data entry personnel
  • Ability to adapt to busy workflows and shifting priorities
  • Previous experience in laboratory, customer service, or shipping/receiving roles is beneficial but not required
