This position is third shift- Sunday- Thursday from 10pm-6am. It pays $22.40/hour.
What's a typical day as a Machine Operator/ Stager ? You'll be:
The stager operator is responsible for performing all dry staging operations, to ensure continuous operation.
Responsibilities
- Helps ensure production needs are met with regard to quality, GMP's and safety. This includes HAACP.
- Responsible for staging of all blending batches following positive release procedure, FIFO dates, and special instructions noted for products that contain boxed ingredients.
- Responsible for supplying blenders with batches on an as needed basis.
- Responsible for emptying trash from blending deck.
- Responsible for putting away all partial ingredients that come off the blending deck, to their proper storage location.
- Responsible for cleaning parts in the intake during the C.I.P. process.
- Comprehend all aspects of the C.I.P. process, including, salt flushes, flavor flushes, allergen cleans, and cocoa C.I.P.'s.
- Maintain sanitation level in the staging area at all times.
- Points out equipment problems to maintenance for repairs and follows up on progress.
- Works with the other Blending operators and Supervisor to ensure a smooth transition from shift to shift.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and relates in a positive manner when interacting with all personnel.
- Report food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
- Understand and comply with all HACCP, Allergen, Environmental, regulatory and customer demands and requirements.
- Have a good understanding of the general purpose, philosophy and direction of The Kerry Group as a whole and specifically the Jackson plant as it relates to employee policies and expectations, quality, customer satisfaction, GMP, sanitation, and production requirements.
- Maintain awareness of customer and regulatory demands and focus.
- Responsible to adhere to quality system requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Previous experience in process operation in which has been demonstrated a high degree of competence and understanding of process equipment.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift 55lbs repetitively
- Ability to operate forklift/aerial lift truck
- Ability to be trained and certified to the authorized level in Lock Out Tag Out and Confined Space
- Problem solving ability and aptitude for learning and professional growth.
