Cutting Machine Operator
Job searching is a lot better with someone in your corner. Kelly® Professional & Industrial is hiring a Cutting Machine Operator on behalf of one of North America's largest and most trusted metal distributors with 180 years of experience.
Training will be provided for at least 2 weeks before independently operating the machine.
2nd Shift: 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm Monday – Friday
3rd Shift: 7:00 PM – 3:30 AM, Sunday – Thursday
Pay: $18 – $22/hour based on experience
Preferred candidates will have experience operating cutting machines, but we are also open to individuals with CNC experience. The role involves bringing metal bars to the machine area, operating the cutting machine to meet customer specifications, and removing and packaging the finished parts.
Responsibilities:
- Operate cutting machines to cut metal bars to the requested specifications.
- Remove parts from the machine and package them appropriately.
- Gain certification for operating overhead cranes and power industrial trucks (side loader and forklift).
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
- Experience with cutting machines or CNC machines preferred but not required.
- Willingness to be trained on overhead cranes and forklifts (experience is a plus).
- Company will supply Cintas uniforms after two weeks, laundered and returned by Cintas.
- Must wear long pants, steel-toe boots with metatarsal guards.
- Company-provided hard hats, Kevlar sleeves, and safety glasses.
