Manufacturing Machine Operator / Manufacturing Quality Control
Northlake, Illinois
Position Details: Temporary Position

  • Schedule:
    • Night Shift: 8:00 pm – 8:00 am, $23.50 per hour
  • Duration: Approx. 3 months, with potential for longer-term work based on performance
  • Interview: Required with department manager
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Operate a manual workstation to assemble hoses.
  • Insert a 7 ¼ in, 9 in, or 10 in plastic hose with a corresponding cap into the machine.
  • Spray alcohol on the cap and simultaneously press buttons to piece the hose and cap together.
  • Package assembled hoses into a box.
  • For 9-inch hoses: Bend the hose before boxing.
  • Weigh boxes to ensure correct quantity and place them on a pallet (20 boxes per pallet).
  • Aim to complete 1 box per hour, increasing efficiency over time.
  • Materials are provided at the workstation.
  • Rotate between sitting and standing stations as needed.
  • Complete paperwork and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Ability to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Frequently involves standing, walking, sitting, and using hands to work the machinery.
  • Requires frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • Must have Visual Acuity (VA).
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
  • Work gloves, safety glasses, and steel toe shoes are required.
Skills:
  • Attention to detail and sense of urgency are crucial for success in this role.
