Machine Operator
Location: Valdosta, GA
Pay Rate: $15/hour + $0.50/hr shift differential for hours worked past 5:00 PM
Shift: Will train on 1st shift (6:00 AM - 4:30 PM), then transition to 2nd shift (4:30 PM - 3:00 AM)
Requirements: Steel toe shoes are mandatory.
This role involves operating printing press machines and assisting in a fast-paced production environment to produce and package quality products according to written standards. As part of a collaborative team, you will perform essential functions across various production and operational tasks.
Essential Functions- Printing Operations: Operate machines to print master rolls, set up jobs, including print plates and ink, and record production data for traceability.
- Production Assistance: Work near machines packaging products, record production information, and ensure accurate labeling and packaging.
- Adjustments and Monitoring: Make necessary press adjustments, verify the use of correct ink, materials, and settings, and maintain quality standards.
- General Duties: Assist with production, cleaning, shipping/receiving, bailing, and other tasks as needed.
- Ability to write legibly, read a tape measure, and accurately record data.
- Proficiency with weigh scales.
- Strong data entry, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform movement involving lifting, twisting, pulling, pushing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
- Exposure to temperature extremes from hot to cold.
- Duties are performed in non-climate-controlled areas.
