Job Title: Machine Operator (Slitter/Rewinder & Paper Converting Equipment)
Schedule: First Shift, Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm
Hourly Rate: $18.00/hour Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our first shift team and operate slitter/rewinder and paper converting equipment. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in machine operation, printing, converting, or similar manufacturing environments. This role requires a combination of mechanical aptitude, basic math skills, and strict adherence to safety and workplace standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate slitter/rewinder and various paper converting machinery according to established protocols
  • Monitor and adjust equipment to ensure optimal manufacturing output and quality
  • Perform routine mechanical screenings and minor troubleshooting
  • Track production output and perform basic mathematical calculations for inventory and production records
  • Inspect finished goods for quality assurance and report any discrepancies
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all company safety rules, including PPE requirements and working standards
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets
Requirements
  • Previous experience with slitter/rewinder, paper converting equipment, or similar machine operation
  • Backgrounds in printing, converting, or general machine operation are highly preferred
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and basic math proficiency
  • Must pass a mechanical aptitude screening
  • Must be able to work first shift, Monday to Friday, from 9:00am to 6:00pm
  • Personal protective equipment: Steel toed boots required
  • Workplace guidelines: No cell phones allowed on the production floor
  • Hair must be tied back at all times for safety
  • Proven ability to follow directions and safety regulations
