Machine Operator – Plastic Extrusion
Location:
Auburn, NY 
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-4pm (Some weekends and overtime may be required)
Pay Rate: $19-22/hour to start

Job Overview
A well-established plastics manufacturing company with over 50 years of industry experience is hiring Plastic Extrusion Machine Operators. This role is ideal for dependable, hands-on candidates looking for long-term stability and opportunities for advancement. Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate plastic extrusion machinery, extruders, and grinders
  • Load raw materials and remove finished products (up to 50 lbs)
  • Perform basic cutting and trimming of parts
  • Separate materials by color (ability to distinguish light vs. dark required). 
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues under supervisor direction
  • Perform quality checks and complete production documentation
  • Maintain cleanliness of machines and work area
  • Follow all safety and health regulations
Qualifications
  • Previous machine operating experience preferred
  • Plastics production experience a plus
  • Forklift certification a plus
  • Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Detail-oriented and reliable
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for 8–10 hour shifts
  • Willing to work early/late shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed
  • Valid New York State driver's license required
  • Must have reliable transportation to complete occasional work-related errands.
