Our client, a leading metals reclamation and recycling services company in North Smithfield, RI, is hiring multiple Machine Operators to join their growing team.
Position: Machine OperatorLocation: North Smithfield, RI
Pay Rate: $18/hour and up (based on experience)
Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
Job Type: Direct Hire

Operate melt department furnaces and equipment to meet daily production targets

Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe; follow all safety procedures

Enter production data into shop software and ensure accurate paperwork handoff

Coordinate with Production Supervisor and Scheduling on lot priorities and timelines

Assist in training teammates and visiting operators

Cross-train in different departments to expand your skills

Help with year-end inventory counts and other plant-wide tasks as needed
- 1–3 years of melt or metal processing experience (preferred, but not required)
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic math skills and ability to read work instructions in English
- Basic computer skills; experience with manufacturing or MRP software is a plus
- Valid driver's license; forklift certification and OSHA 24-hour training are a plus (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work around heat, noise, and metal fumes (with proper PPE)
- Willingness to wear a respirator as required
