• Pay Rates: $16.65 - $22.00 / hr

What's a typical day as a Machine Operator Manual Lathe? You'll be:
• Setting up and operating various milling and/or turret lathe machines to produce piece parts according to print specifications
• Performing tool offsets, selecting feeds/speeds, and making adjustments necessary for piece parts to conform to print tolerance
• Checking all parts to print dimensions using dial calipers, micrometers, drop indicator, comparator, and similar inspection tools
• Performing first piece part inspection and in-process inspections to ensure all parts meet print tolerance
• Maintaining SPC Data for each piece part
• Moving parts to the next area of operation according to part routing
• Assisting less experienced operators with set-ups as needed
• Ensuring good quality and a clean and safe work area at all times
• Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a High/Vocational school diploma with knowledge of basic shop math and blueprint reading and inspection equipment
• Have one to three years of experience utilizing millers and/or lathe machines
• Are capable of lifting up to 60 lbs. on a regular basis
• Are comfortable working in a manufacturing and office environment
• Have a strong awareness of general safety and quality systems
• Have knowledge of hazardous waste handling and control
