Description

Overview: We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team for the second shift. The ideal candidate will operate assigned machines independently, ensuring production goals are met while maintaining a safe work environment. If you are detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and have experience operating manufacturing machinery, we encourage you to apply.

Pay: $18.50/hr
Shift: 2:30pm-11:30 pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate assigned machines including resistance welding machines, brake presses, and mechanical power presses.
  • Complete the OMP (Operator Maintenance Program) for assigned machines within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Meet daily production targets consistently.
  • Identify and rectify any issues with machine operations or product quality.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the work area.
  • Accurately complete documentation such as process monitors and production tickets.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Minimum of one year of related experience in machine operation.
  • Ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Proficiency in English communication (verbal and written).
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, counting, and the use of a tape measure.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures, equipment, and protocols.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to walk, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, bend at waist, and climb ladders or equipment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted; average lift less than 50 lbs.

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals.
  • Moderate to loud noise levels requiring hearing protection.
  • Required to wear safety shoes and eye protection.
  • Temperature environment ranges from 0 degrees to 110 degrees.
