Kelly Services is seeking Machine Operators for a busy Cabinet Manufacturer located in Rockledge, FL 32955

Pay: $15.50/hour
Shift: 1st shift – 5:00am to 1:30pm (Overtime expected daily, 10-hour days including Saturdays when needed)

Job Summary

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and running multiple types of machinery to produce high-quality cabinet products in accordance with machining processes and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Support the C.A.R.E values of the organization.
  • Follow plant safety and environmental policies; keep work areas clean and orderly.
  • Assemble products and parts using basic hand tools.
  • Measure materials for conformance to blueprint specifications using various measuring devices.
  • Follow production guidelines and specifications.
  • Finalize and package products for shipment or movement.
  • Operate and monitor different machines within the cell during daily operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops with minimal assistance/supervision.
  • Conduct inventory and component inspections and/or audit to specification, as required.
  • Maintain charts, logbooks, and databases as needed.
  • Meet daily production goals and understand cycle time requirements.
  • Store products and materials.
  • Meet individual production deadlines during shift.
  • Report defective products or equipment.
  • Perform and maintain accurate finished goods traceability.
  • Escalate material, technical, and quality concerns.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Ability to read measuring instruments (required)
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical skills (required)
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals (preferred)
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (a plus)
  • Basic knowledge of different manufacturing machines
  • Ability to multitask
  • Focused on teamwork
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift/move in excess of 50 lbs. at a time
  • Stand, walk, stoop, and perform physical motions for extended periods
Safety

All employees must adhere to safety rules and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times while on the production floor. Required PPE includes safety shoes, eye protection, and hearing protection.

Note: Overtime is expected daily (10-hour workdays), and Saturday shifts may be required as needed.
