As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining and calibrating a wide range of manufacturing and laboratory equipment, ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability for our life-changing medical devices across Ethicon and Cardiovascular and Specialty Solution (CSS) Companies (Johnson and Johnson Family of Companies).

What You'll Do:

  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform expert-level troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on various equipment and fixtures, utilizing specialized tools and established procedures.
  • Calibration Expertise: Calibrate equipment measuring pressure, temperature, time, speed, mass, and length, using precision standards and adhering to manufacturer specifications.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Meticulously document service results in our electronic database system (eCMMS "Maximo - IBM"), ensuring accurate tracking and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Organization and Collaboration: Maintain a clean and organized workstation, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate effectively with other departments regarding equipment-related notifications.
  • Safety and Compliance: Uphold all company guidelines related to Health, Safety, and Environmental practices, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, local, and Company regulations.

What You'll Bring:
  • Confirmed ability, experience, and/or training in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and laboratory equipment.
  • Familiarity with measuring and repair equipment/tools (micrometers, calipers, pressure and temperature standards, hand tools).
  • Basic knowledge of mechanics and electricity; ability to interpret mechanical drawings, electrical labels, and operating manuals.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to thrive in learning environments, is flexible, great teammate and deadline driven
  • Ability to lift 10-50 lbs. and stand for moderate periods of time.
  • Must be able to wear PPE as required.

Preferred:
  • Technical Studies: Vocational Electromechanical Technician or Instrumentalist Technician.
