Job Title: Maintenance Lead- Steady Days
Location: Brantford, ON
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Contract Type: Permanent, On-site
Salary: $88,000K; Benefits; RRSP Match
Job Overview
The Maintenance Lead is responsible for implementing and maintaining maintenance planning and scheduling (MPS) and breakdown elimination (BDE) systems. The role includes coaching line teams, improving technical capability, and ensuring alignment with Progressive Maintenance (PM) systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in daily direction setting (DDS) meetings and execution of maintenance plans.
- Plan, schedule, and prioritize SAP work orders and notifications.
- Maintain job plan archives and technical documentation in SAP.
- Lead scheduling of maintenance activities (daily, weekly, and monthly).
- Investigate breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
- Optimize start-up, shutdown, and major maintenance interventions.
- Train and qualify line teams in maintenance activities.
- Track and report maintenance KPIs and in-process measures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and work process enhancements.
- Manage relationships with the storeroom for parts and inventory control.
- Participate in vendor acceptance testing and new equipment projects.
- Maintenance training and experience with integrated work systems (IWS)/high-performance organizations (HPO).
- Strong technical, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in SAP maintenance planning and scheduling.
- Experience with autonomous maintenance (AM) and progressive maintenance (PM) systems.
- Ability to coach and train teams effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Basic PC skills and knowledge of maintenance management systems.
- Minimal travel required (<1%).
- Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to heat.
