Maintenance Mechanic – 2nd Shift (Direct Hire)
Location: Rochester, NY
Pay: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: 2nd shift; 2PM-10PM | possible 4x10 schedule (e.g., Monday–Thursday with occasional Friday)
Join a stable and growing manufacturing team as a Maintenance Mechanic. You'll play a critical role in keeping production lines operating by diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and maintain industrial processing, packaging, and support equipment
- Fabricate components, machine parts, and machine guards using welding (Stick, TIG, MIG)
- Maintain and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems including cylinders, valves, and compressors
- Perform basic pipefitting tasks
- Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics
- Work on hardwired relay logic, PLCs, motor drives, and high/low voltage electrical systems
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- High school diploma or GED
- Willingness to work 2nd shift with some weekends or overtime as needed
- Comfortable working in hot, cold, humid, or noisy environments
- Physically able to lift, stand, walk, climb, push, and pull for 8+ hours per day
- Strong safety awareness and a dependable work ethic
