Manufacturing Automation Engineer (Rockwell) - (NO C2C OR THIRD PARTY)
- Location: 100% onsite in Pensacola, Florida (32514)
- Duration: 5-month contract - estimated to end 12/28/2025 – Contract extension possibilities
- Pay: Negotiable depending on DIRECT RELATED experience up to $55 - $60 an hour
- Type: W2 ONLY contract (NO C2C OR THIRD PARTY arrangements can be made for this role)

Top 3 MUST HAVE skills:
- Knowledge of Electrical Safety Circuits category or Safety Integrity Level (sil)
- Ability to program PLC's preferably Rockwell
- Troubleshoot and commission control systems
The Rockwell Automation and Digital Engineer is responsible for projects to automate and digitalize manufacturing.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Procedures associated with the management of change in a regulated industry and, specifically, commissioning, qualification and validation.
- Development and implementation of automated batch process control, including recipe management. Knowledge of ISA-88 would be advantageous.
What you will do:
- Use insights from gemba to identify valuable problems to solve and build cases for automation and digitalization of our manufacturing.
- Research alternative technologies to establish state-of-the-art, then design, build and test solutions, working with third-party vendors and contractors as required.
- Commission, qualify and validate new manufacturing technologies, managing these changes according to safety, quality and regulatory standards.
- Support troubleshooting of existing equipment, identify opportunities for continuous improvements, and implement technology upgrades.
- Participate in activities to define and deploy global specifications for automation and digitalization in our manufacturing plants.
Who you are:
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant science or engineering discipline e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering
- Substantial experience in relevant engineering roles, i.e. automation and control, and in manufacturing plants. Must be capable of understanding manufacturing and equipment specifications e.g. drawings and schematics.
- Practical “hands-on” expertise in design, build and test of industrial automation systems. Experience with instrumentation, local controllers, and supervisory control systems is essential and, ideally, with Rockwell Automation products. Familiarity with industrial network design and implementation would be a distinct advantage.
- Capable of coordinating your own work plus that of others, including contracted third parties, via visual and daily management.
