Position Title: Manufacturing Technician 
Location: Newark, CA
Pay Rate: $28-$30 per hour
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6 AM - 2:30 PM.


Job Purpose:
The Manufacturing Technician is tasked with independently conducting filling and kit assembly functions within a GMP environment. This includes ensuring documentation aligns with manufacturing schedules and guidelines, engaging in new product introductions or validations, and other specified duties.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform filling and kit assembly with minimal supervision in a GMP setting.
• Ensure all necessary documentation is included in production job packets, following the manufacturing schedule and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Engage in new product introductions or validations as needed.
• Execute tasks of high importance including back-order jobs, special work orders, and reworks.
• Conduct general laboratory maintenance including facility and equipment cleaning and waste disposal.
• Handle orders, restock, and organize manufacturing consumables.
• Actively contribute to problem-solving in areas of responsibility.
• Support continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain safety and quality standards in manufacturing.
• Participate in cycle counts when required.
• Occasionally perform routine equipment calibration and preventive maintenance, such as defrosting freezers and refrigerators.
• Provide assistance in other areas as necessary to achieve departmental objectives.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma required.
• Skills: Detail-oriented, efficient, and a team player with strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
• Experience: Experience under ISO 13485 is a plus. Strong preference for previous manufacturing experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industries.

Working Conditions:

• Environment: Clean room laboratory, no travel required.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and carry out repetitive tasks daily.
