Job Title: Material Handler
Location: Huntersville
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $18.00
Schedule: 8am - 5pm

Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse, production, or manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be organized, safety-conscious, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load, unload, and move materials and products using forklifts, pallet jacks, or by hand

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage

  • Maintain inventory records and update Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

  • Deliver materials to appropriate departments or workstations as needed

  • Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of materials

  • Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures and guidelines

  • Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory audits

  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from hazards

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate workflow

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment is a plus

  • Ability to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment (certification preferred)

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and updates

  • Physical ability to lift up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs] and stand/walk for extended periods

  • Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures

Work Environment:

  • Warehouse or production floor setting

  • Exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and dust

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required
