Kelly Services is seeking a Day Shift Material Handler to support Shipping and Receiving operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Taylor, TX. This role is responsible for the physical and systemic handling of all incoming and outgoing materials, including accurate ERP transactions. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work quickly with 100% accuracy, and safe operation of material handling equipment. Some hazardous material handling may be required. - Starting Pay: $20 to $22 per hour (based on experience)

Compressed Work Week, Day Shift
- Shift A (FE Days) 7am to 7pm, Sunday to Tuesday every other Wednesday
- Shift C (BE Days) 7am to 7pm, Thursday to Saturday every other Wednesday
- If a Holiday falls on your scheduled shift, you will be required to work the Holiday
- First 6 to 8 months schedule flexibility is required for training.
- On?call rotation participation to support critical startup needs that may arise outside normal working hours.
- Receive, unload, and stage inbound shipments, including palletized freight and wooden crates
- Perform uncrating and provide basic rigging support for large or crated materials
- Inspect incoming materials for damage and verify against packing slips and purchase orders
- Isolate and document damaged, incorrect, or non-conforming materials
- Perform Goods Receipt (GR) transactions in ERP systems using handheld devices and system tools
- Stage materials for inventory control or deliver directly to end users
- Package outbound materials and secure shipments on pallets
- Create shipping documentation and process outbound system transactions
- Perform final shipment inspections (labels, documentation, shock sensors, seals)
- Organize and stage outbound shipments by priority
- Delivering materials to warehouses, fab, or administrative areas as required
- Support internal material transfers between buildings
- Serve as scheduling liaison by receiving calls from Security and directing inbound deliveries to the correct dock or location
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely
- Support limited hazardous material handling in compliance with company and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Prior Shipping/Receiving material experience desired (2 years or more)-preferred
- Prior experience operating a forklift desired
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety
- Good Written and Verbal communication is required
- WorldShip software is a plus
- SAP or similar program exposure experience desired but not necessary
- Lifting techniques training is desired but not necessary
